A Laxmi Narayan Temple and Community Center, Vallah, Amritsar 143001 is situated in the heart of village Vallah Sahib near Vallah Sabji Mandi is 1 kilometer away from the Sabji Mandi and 5 Kilometer from the Amritsar central bus stand.

A Laxmi Narayan Temple invites applications for two full‐time Hindu Priests to meet the temple community’s devotional and spiritual needs.

One of the priests should be an ISKCON devotee and well versed to perform all duties as ISKCON priest and one North Indian Sampradaya Priest is required.

Job Description:

#1. Required to perform daily Vedic rituals / ceremonies and other priestly duties as approved by A Laxmi Narayan Temple and Community Center at the temple premises and at off‐site devotee locations as needed

#2. Must be willing to work a revolving schedule

#3. The job performance and lifestyle should comply with accepted Hindu customs and traditions

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

1. Must be qualified as a Hindu priest in performing Shodasha Karmas including Apara in the appropriate Sutra, with certification from a known university, Hindu Religious Organization or any Indian Government (including State Government), or other qualified authority.
2. Must be well versed in Vedic rituals.
3. Must have working knowledge of Hindi, Sanskrit. Bi‐lingual ability in English is a big plus.
4. Must have demonstrated communication skills and demonstrated ability of having good interpersonal skills to work with other priests, Devotees, Temple Staff and Management
5. Must be willing to relocate to another temple nearby.
6. Ability to teach veda mantras, stotras / slokas and their meanings to devotees is desirable
7. Ability to lead Bhajans, chant Stotras and group spiritual activities is desirable.
8. Broader understanding of traditional Hindu rituals and festivals in various regions of India is desirable.
9. Multiple years of work experience in any temples is preferred.
