Temple Maryada
The temple complex is a holy place, it is the duty of every Hindu to follow the decorum. Maintain decorum in the temple site and take care of the following things
Sit in the temple premises and take the name of Ram. It is strictly forbidden to eat gutkha, tobacco, etc. elements inside the temple premises, playing cards etc. by forming a group.
Do not try to damage any movable and immovable property of the temple premises.
Do not steal things like gongs, worship materials etc. installed in the temple.
Always bathe prior to entering temples.
Wash hands and feet before prayer.
Make sure your Head, shoulders and legs are covered.
Deposit your shoes in the shoe house (Joda Ghar).
Don’t make unwanted noise inside the temple.
Accept the tilak and Charnamrit on the forehead as a sign of respect.
Do not argue with fellow devotees and gossip inside the temple.
If you eat Prasadam given inside the temple ( Like Tirupati), Throw the container in the dustbin after consumption. Do not throw it on the walking path.
Do not write anything over the temple wall, maintain cleanliness inside and outside the temple surroundings
Do not waste prasadam/langar.
Any kind of conversation is prohibited in the temple.
Never stand in front of an idol in a temple.
It is forbidden to make oneself worship by disguising any God during Bhajan-Kirtan etc.
